Before joining AMC, Mr. Willens spent several years as a practicing trial attorney in the insurance defense industry, representing clients in a variety of areas including automobile accident, municipal and premises liability, aircraft accident litigation, and uninsured motorist cases. He has tried approximately 30 cases to jury verdict.

Mr. Willens currently specializes in specialty casualty defense including complex environmental, toxic tort and premises liability litigation, as well as extra contractual defense and real estate litigation. He is currently lead litigation counsel for Sizzler USA Restaurants, Inc. in Southern California.

Since 1996, Mr. Willens has been a reserve police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. He is also a licensed commercial pilot, rated in multi-engine jet aircraft.
