Janiece S. Marshall originally joined Anderson, McPharlin & Conners LLP in 2009 and returned to the AMC after serving six years as a judge in Las Vegas, Nevada, presiding over 30,000 criminal and civil hearings and trials.
Janiece is an experienced civil litigation attorney, licensed to practice in both California and Nevada. She started her legal career as a federal law clerk for the United States District Court, District of Nevada. She also worked in Taipei, Taiwan, negotiating joint venture agreements after studying Mandarin Chinese at the Taiwan University.
Over the course of her career in private practice, Janiece has been involved in high profile litigation; most recently, she was appointed by the Eighth Judicial District Court to represent Ocean Fleming in his post-conviction relief action involving allegations of police corruption. Janiece also successfully recovered $8 million dollars for her client in a personal injury case, prevailed at trial in a personal injury three week trial and obtained a defense verdict for police officers in a civil rights action wrongful death in a federal jury trial. Janiece has also represented insurance companies, casinos and publicly traded corporations in business litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury, real property matters in federal and state courts, both plaintiff and defense. Presently, Janiece is General Counsel for the Asian Cultural Center and also hosts on “Marshal Law”, debating legal issues and interviewing guests.
