Richard Wirick is delighted to be at Anderson, McPharlin and to return to his favorite specialty, insurance coverage. He first trained in this area of the law in 1985 and has practiced it for 35 years. He rejoins several AMC attorneys with whom he trained during that time. Rick enjoys the scholarly aspect of coverage. He has also trained in labor and employment and professional liability.

Rick has conducted numerous jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations in coverage, labor and employment and professional liability. He sub-specialized in employment issues for municipalities. He is conversant with the special aspects of defending municipalities in employment matters, and providing advice to employers in all industries. His opinion practice entails advising clients on employer obligations under the ADA, FMLA, FSRA, and FEHA. It is a dynamic area of the law that will become more evolved and robust given new state and federal employment laws. Just before joining the firm, Rick defensed a two week wrongful termination jury trial in Riverside, representing one of the desert cities.
