Mr. Yanco is an experienced litigation attorney who has successfully represented numerous business entities and individuals throughout California in both state and federal courts.  He is an agile advocate who excels at navigating his clients through all phases of civil litigation, from inception through discovery and trial preparation, consistently achieving favorable results.  Mr. Yanco is able to develop unique strategies based on the particular circumstances of each individual case, which are carefully tailored to his clients’ needs and goals, with cost-effectiveness in mind.  Prior to joining Anderson, McPharlin & Conners, LLP, Mr. Yanco worked at a litigation firm where he specialized in representing multinational companies, including major automobile manufacturers, in high-exposure products liability litigation involving catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death claims.  In addition to products liability defense, he has experience in the areas of general negligence defense, employment and labor law, complex creditors’ rights, and business and commercial litigation.

Mr. Yanco is a cum laude graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Gonzaga Law Review and competitor on the moot court team.  At Gonzaga Law, he achieved the CALI Excellence Award in Legal Research and Writing.  He also completed an externship with the Hague Conference on Private International Law in The Hague, Netherlands, where he worked on issues relating to international service of process and the enforcement of foreign judgments, and contributed to the judicial handbook on the Hague Service Convention.  In addition, Mr. Yanco worked at a corporate law firm in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Mr. Yanco is admitted to practice law before all California state courts.  He is additionally admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Obtained summary judgment in favor of national retailer in premises liability action involving alleged slip-and-fall accident, with the court finding that plaintiff could not establish that retailer had actual or constructive notice of allegedly injurious causing condition as a matter of law.

Secured favorable settlement on behalf of major automobile manufacturer in high-exposure lawsuit alleging that defective seat-recliners and seatbacks caused wrongful death of vehicle’s driver in chain reaction, multi-vehicle collision.

Obtained non-dischargeable judgment of over $1.2 million in bankruptcy adversarial proceeding on behalf of creditor who was defrauded in complex scheme, whereby debtor induced creditors to invest substantial monies in various brick-and-mortar restaurants that were then intentionally shut down by debtor.
