Spotlight on Tom Kearney for the Excellent Result in Defense of Federal Court RICO Action

Tom Kearney obtained a significant victory for his client, a national law firm, in the complete defense of federal court action. The federal court action, which arose out of an aggressively contested state court business litigation and legal malpractice action, asserted various claims including violation of RICO statutes. The federal court granted the motion to dismiss, with prejudice, and the anti-SLAPP special motion to strike which was a complete victory and in doing so, awarded recovery of nearly $50,000 in attorneys’ fees to Tom’s client as the prevailing party.
