Anderson, McPharlin & Conners is well-established civil litigation firm based in Los Angeles, California with satellite offices in Nevada and Arizona. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Associate Attorney in our Los Angeles office to join our civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate has some litigation experience and must be team-oriented with strong research, writing and communication skills. Writing samples will be required, along with professional references. Must reside in Southern California.
Attorney Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, prepare reports and legal documents, and perform other duties to develop and implement strategy
- Ability to identify key facts and issues, provide thoughtful analysis of the law and develop arguments, and provide recommendations
- Be responsive to clients and colleagues, and build meaningful relationships with clients based on trust and excellent work
- Prepare work product such as pleadings and discovery in a timely manner
- Be intentional to stay informed about developments in the law
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Maintain an attention to detail in all work product
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- In good standing and able to practice law in the state of California
- Strong research, writing and critical thinking skills
- Knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work as part of a team
- Detail oriented and organized

- Proficient with technology and Microsoft Office applications
