Exceptional Result for Tom Kearney

Thomas J. Kearney just obtained a decision and award in his client’s favor in a consolidated JAMS arbitration proceeding under NRS 439B.754, Nevada’s emergency health care “surprise billing” statute.  The arbitrator determined that the claimant hospital system was required to accept as payment in full the challenged reimbursement amounts originally paid by the carrier as “fair and reasonable” within the meaning of NRS 439B.748(2).  The award also required the claimant’s hospital system to pay his client the costs of the arbitration proceeding.  Please contact Tom at (213) 236-1623 or tjk@amclaw.com if you have any questions
