Ali Vaqar is a seasoned litigation attorney with a broad range of experience in representing clients in real estate and business litigation matters as well as construction defect, wills & trusts, employment, and personal injury litigation. Ali provides a deep analysis of issues to leverage a speedy and beneficial resolution for his clients. He has extensive experience in disputes involving title, liens, easements, licenses, boundaries, lender liability, escrow liability, real estate broker and salesperson liability, property contracts, asset recovery and tracing, probate, bankruptcy, business torts, fiduciary liability, fraud, negligence, slander of title, interference with inheritance, and various other real estate, insurance, business litigation, and personal injury matters. Ali has handled numerous complex cases on behalf of title insurance companies, escrow companies and agents, real estate developers, financial institutions and lenders, contractors, real estate brokers, and commercial and residential property owners and has successfully represented clients both in state and federal court as well as in appellate court proceedings. Outside the courtroom, Ali has successfully negotiated and settled cases to the satisfaction of his clients. Prior to joining AMC, Ali worked for six years at a law firm in Pasadena handling all aspects of his clients’ cases.

Ali received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree from UCLA as well.  Ali also has an M.B.A. from California State University, Fullerton.

Ali is the Co-Chair of the Title Insurance Subsection of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Real Property Section Executive Committee and a Member of the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Real Estate, Condemnation & Trust Title Insurance Committee.

In his free time, Ali enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following basketball and hiking.

Experience

  • Victory in the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Two, on a Petition for Writ of Mandate requesting the trial court set for hearing the Motion for Summary Judgment which was timely filed and served for hearing before trial but because of the imposition of a Local Rule the hearing reservation had been canceled without notice. The published opinion was issued in CFP BDA, LLC v. The Superior Court of Riverside County, No. E085583 (Cal. App. May 2, 2025; Supreme Court publication order entered July 10, 2025).
  • Victory in the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, with an Opinion affirming the trial court’s decision granting summary judgment in favor of AMC’s client confirming a license or easement did not exist on the client’s commercial property. The unpublished opinion was issued in Krajian v. Razmer #3, LLC, Case No. B331147 (Cal. App. February 14, 2025).
  • Successfully negotiated a global settlement in 2025 involving competing and contentious claims in a real property action.
  • Victory in Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, with an Opinion affirming the trial court’s decision granting summary judgment in favor of AMC’s client confirming the client’s ownership of a multi-million-dollar property as a bona fide purchaser in Orange County free and clear of adverse claims. The unpublished opinion was issued in Espinoza v. Espinoza, Case No. G061735 (Cal. App. June 26, 2024).
  • Victory in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2024 on a successful demurrer culminating in the expungement of multiple lis pendens recorded against AMC client’s property in a case involving multiple petitions seeking to cancel the grant deed conveying a property to AMC’s client.
  • Victory in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2023 on a successful motion for summary judgment quieting title and confirming AMC’s client’s interest in a property free and clear of defendant’s adverse claim that extinguished junior liens had reattached to the property.
  • Victory in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2023 on a successful motion for judgment on the pleadings culminating in the expungement of a lis pendens recorded against AMC client’s property and the recovery of fees and costs in a case involving a multi-million-dollar property subject to a contentious dispute between former owners.
  • Successfully obtained a denial of multiple motions for preliminary injunctions in favor of airport owner and operator in 2023 in an action seeking the imposition of an easement over the airport property.
  • Victory in the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate district, with an opinion affirming the trial court’s decision disqualifying opposing counsel. The unpublished opinion was issued in RJS Financial, Inc. v. Dos Potrillos LLC, Case No. B316465 (Cal. Ct. App., Aug. 23, 2022).
  • Victory in the Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, on a Petition for Writ of Mandate requesting the trial court to vacate its order denying motion for protective order sought by AMC’s client to prevent production of privileged documents identified in an over-inclusive privilege log produced by an agent of the client. The unpublished opinion was issued in Nu Find Homes, LLC et al. v. Superior Court Los Angeles County et al., Case No. B320738 (Cal. App. Aug. 19, 2022).
  • Victory in Orange County Superior Court in 2022 after successfully filing an anti-SLAPP motion, expunging a lis pendens recorded against the client’s property, and moving to recover attorney’s fees in a case involving a multi-million-dollar property that an investor of a prior owner sought to recover and prevent from being sold.
